Car Rental Terms and Conditions
Driving Licence : Client must have a current Mauritian or International Driving Licence. Client/Driver should be of age of 26 or above.
Insurance Excess / Deposit (Refundable) : A minimum cash amount of Rs. 20,000 or EUR 500 is required as deposit upon confirmation of booking. At the end of the contract period, the deposit will be refunded to client upon returning the car in same condition (as delivered at the start of the contract agreement as signed by client). The deposit or part of the deposit is subject to be retained by Inventia in case of damage to the car, where client is found guilty.
The insurance excess is payable upon any damage caused to the client vehicle regardless of any liability. For young drivers : Excess will be higher than Rs. 20,000 or EUR 500
Fuel : Fuel is at client expense and not included in the rates. The car is delivered to the client with the fuel gauge reading “Full”. The client is responsible to return the car with the fuel gauge reading “Full”. Client will be chargeable to replace fuel if the car is returned without fuel given initially at the start of the contract.
Traffic penalties enforced by Mauritius Police Force and National Transport Authority : All Road Traffic offences as per the Road Traffic Act , for example, traffic line and parking infringements, exceeding speed limits, illegal racing, failure to stop on pedestrian crossings, failure to stop at traffic light, failure to wear seat belts, failure to stop on police request and driving under the influence of alcohol and/or illegal drugs are under the responsibility of the client.
Breakdown : 24/7 services are available at any time, within 2 hours as from client notification. The service number is 8980
Pick-up and return of vehicle : The car must be returned to the point of pick-up and delivery can be arranged subject to pair arrangement being made in advance. Airport transfer and Hotel pickup are also available on demand.
Upkeep and cleanliness of the car : The client is responsible for the general upkeep of the vehicle, that is, verifying oil and water level as well as fuel level and tyre pressure. The client must keep the car clean at all time (Hand wash only, no roller brush on the exterior and interior)
